Russell County Search and Rescue has been busy the last few days as a result of the winter storm.
Search and Rescue Chief Chris Money spoke to WJRS News and gave a look at what he and his team have been doing the last few days.
Money said search and rescue team members have helped transport many essential workers to and from work while roads have been slick.
Money said it’s been a lot of work, with little time for rest, but he and his team are happy to serve the community.
Search and Rescue members are unpaid volunteers who utilize their own time and resources to assist the community during times like this. Anyone who wishes to support them with a donation can do so by contacting Search and Rescue at 270-866-6980.
