The District 8 transportation cabinet provided an update on roadway conditions in the area.
The cabinet said most Priority A and B routes — including interstates, parkways, and major highways—are mostly clear, though some slush remains in isolated locations.
State crews have shifted focus to priority C routes and report improving conditions along those roadways.
With low temperatures remaining, refreezing is likely and black ice may develop, particularly on roads that received limited sunlight.
Drivers should still exercise extra caution when out on the roads, as a road may look clear but have patches of ice.
