Entzin pleads guilty to vehicular homicide, DUI in fatal January 2023 crash

A Russell Springs man has pled guilty to charges including vehicular homicide and driving under the influence stemming from a fatal car accident in January 2023.

Alex Lopez Entzin was originally charged with murder following the crash, but pled guilty to an amended charge of vehicular homicide.

As part of the agreement, Entzin was sentenced to 18 years in prison.

The collision occurred on January 2, 2023. According to Kentucky State Police, Entzin was traveling south on Highway 127 when he collided with a vehicle traveling north operated by 75-year-old Wanda Wethington of Russell Springs. Wethington was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Russell County Coroner’s Office
