The Russell County Laker and Lady Laker Basketball teams fell at home to Clinton County last night.
The Lady Lakers fell to the Lady Bulldogs in a close one by a score of 58-56.
Aniyah Coffey finished with a team-high 21 points and 13 rebounds in the game. Addy Abrell finished with 12 points and McKenna Ccamaque finished with 11 points. Natalie Bartrug added 5 points and 8 rebounds, to go along with a team-high 4 steals and 2 blocks.
In the nightcap, the Lakers fell to the Bulldogs by a score of 76-60.
Dylan Stanelle led the Lakers with 28 points, and Maddox Shearer finished the night with 18. Bryson Irvin scored 8 points, Tyson Stille finished with 4 points and Cameron Bolin added 2 points.
The Lakers will compete in the Berea Holiday Classic this weekend, taking on Boyle County on Saturday and Morgan County on Sunday.
The Lady Lakers will take part in the White Greer and Maggard Holiday Classic, taking on Lyon County on Saturday.
