The Russell County Fiscal Court will meet in special session this morning, with the sheriff’s office budget being the main topic on the agenda.
The court will meet at 10:00 this morning at the Russell County Courthouse. The court is expected to vote to either approve or deny the sheriff’s proposed budget.
The court opted to table a vote on the sheriff’s budget at its meeting earlier this month after discussion between Sheriff Derek Polston and the magistrates.
