State Treasurer’s Office encouraging Russell County families to sign up for STABLE Kentucky program

Kentucky Treasurer Mark Metcalf is encouraging eligible Russell County families to sign up for the STABLE Kentucky program.

STABLE Kentucky is the state’s version of the federal ABLE program. Any resident of Kentucky who developed a qualifying disability before the age of 26 is eligible for a STABLE account. The program helps families build long-term security while protecting essential benefits like SSI and Medicaid.

Metcalf said so far, there have been no sign-ups in Russell County.

Families interested in learning more about STABLE Kentucky or opening an account can visit stablekentucky.com or call 1-800-439-1653 for assistance.
