Russell County Judge Executive Randy Marcum said the county is looking to expand parking at the Old Alligator 1 boat ramp.
Marcum was a guest on Community Conversation on WJRS, and said the area is heavily used during the summer by local residents and tourists, and additional parking is needed.
County officials are expected to meet with representatives from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers this week about the issue.
