Russell County students can now apply for the Rogers Explorers and Rogers Scholars programs through the Center for Rural Development.
Rogers Scholars is open to students who are currently sophomores in high school. Students in the program spend one week on the campus of Lindsey Wilson University or Morehead State University in the summer.
Rogers Explorers is open to students currently in 8th grade. Students spend 3 days and 2 nights on college and university campuses around the state.
Applications must be submitted by the end of January.
