The Adair County Sheriff’s Office says there have been multiple reports of counterfeit bills being circulated.
Businesses and citizens in Adair and surrounding counties should be aware that a couple citizens in Adair County reported receiving counterfeit money.
The denominations so far have been a twenty dollar bill and a five dollar bill. Businesses and individuals are advised to check all cash closely. If you feel you have gotten a counterfeit bill, contact your local authorities or your local bank.
