Judge-Executives from Russell and several other nearby counties recently signed on to a letter supporting the Pre-K for All initiative.
The letter urges the Kentucky General Assembly to make expanding access to pre-K for all 4-year-olds a top priority in the 2026 Budget Session.
Judge-Executives from Russell, Adair, Clinton, Metcalfe, Monroe, and Taylor counties were among more than 60 judge-executives to express their support.
The letter states only 14,000 of Kentucky’s 54,000 4-year-olds have access to Pre-K. The group says Pre-K For All would save families money, boost the local economy, and be an investment in Kentucky’s long-term competitiveness.
