A new Jeep event is coming to Jamestown in October.
The inaugural Jeeps are Wild event is scheduled for Saturday, October 11 in Jamestown.
The event includes a poker run where Jeep enthusiasts will travel to several different locations in the county to collect playing cards and the three individuals with the best hands will win prizes.
Jamestown City Councilman Tony Wright has been one of the leaders in brainstorming this event and provided more details.
Jamestown Mayor Regena Hinton said the poker run will not focus on how fast drivers can get to the stops to collect cards and said there are no concerns about vehicles speeding as part of the event.
This year’s event is only for Jeep brand vehicles and will take place mostly at the drag strip.
