The Russell County Fiscal Court will meet this morning with multiple items on the agenda.
The court will hold the first reading of an ordinance permitting side-by-sides and other special purpose vehicles to be operated on county roadways.
Senate Bill 63 made these vehicles legal as long as they meet certain requirements. They have to be licensed by the county clerk’s office, insured and inspected by the sheriff’s office.
The court is also expected to set the county’s tax rate at this morning’s meeting.
The court will meet at 10 a.m. at the Russell County Courthouse.
We’ll have more from the meeting later today on local news.
