Russell County Judge Executive Randy Marcum applauded the work of the hospital’s board of directors for their work on the hospital’s expansion.
Marcum noted it’s rare to see a community hospital lower its tax rate, and then begin work on a major expansion project.
The hospital broke ground on its expansion project on Monday. The expansion will nearly double the size of the current hospital.
