Jessica Holt, director of school nutrition for Russell County Schools, spoke to the board of education at its most recent meeting and provided a positive update about the district’s food service program.
Holt said the district is always looking to add new menu items for students, as well as ways to offer locally-sourced foods in the cafeteria.
