Two arrests made locally yesterday

Two Russell Springs men were arrested yesterday in separate incidents.

The Russell County Sheriff’s Office arrested 25-year-old Noah Jones of Russell Springs yesterday morning and charged with trafficking in methamphetamine, possession of cocaine, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Jones was arrested just before 10:30 yesterday morning by Deputy Nathan Bradshaw with the Russell County Sheriff’s Office.

Russell Springs Police made a drug-related arrest yesterday also.

46-year-old Daniel Paul Roberts was arrested yesterday just after 11:15 and charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of a controlled substance.

Russell Springs Police were dispatched to one of the Dollar General stores after reports came in of a man, identified as Roberts, passed out in a vehicle in the parking lot. Officers performed a search of the vehicle after taking Roberts into custody and found what is believed to be narcotics, which were sent off for identification.

Officer Vance Davis was the arresting officer.

Both men were lodged in the Russell County Detention Center.
