The Russell County Board of Education approved the purchase of new track and field equipment, along with upgrades at the Kay Morris Softball Complex during its recent meeting.
With the new track at the First National Bank Athletic Complex, new equipment was needed in order to host future track competitions.
The board voted to use funds from the First National Bank naming rights deal to fund the purchases.
The total purchase amount comes in at around $76,000.
