More than 400 deer have been harvested locally during the 2024 license year, according to the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife.
The department reports 422 harvested deer at this point, with 310 coming via firearm, 55 via crossbow, 42 via archery, and 15 from muzzleloader.
Looking at other neighboring counties, Pulaski County had 1,892; Adair County had 1,429; Casey County had 1,060; Wayne County had 963, Cumberland County had 723, and Clinton County had 339.
Kentucky’s modern gun season runs through Sunday.
