Russell County native Braxton Smith recently received the Eastern Kentucky University School of Aviation Distinguished Graduate Award for Fall 2024.
Smith, who graduated from Russell County High School in 2022, is set to graduate in December with a Bachelor’s Degree in Professional Flight.
Smith is currently flight instructing while building hours with hopes to eventually fly cargo.
