Local gas prices remain lower than state average.
The average price of gas in Russell County, according to AAA, comes in at $2.71 although prices have trended upward to $2.75 this week.
The state average comes in at around $2.81, and the national average comes in at $3.08.
That’s a notable difference than prices last November, when average prices locally came in at around $3.15.
