RCHS cell phone policy has cut down on behavior issues

The new cell phone policy at Russell County High School implemented this year has cut down on behavior issues, according to principal Shanna Tarter.

The policy requires students to turn in their cell phone when they arrive at school in the morning and it can be retrieved at the end of the day.

Despite some initial pushback by parents, Tarter said the policy has worked well since being implemented by the school’s site-based council at the beginning of the school year.
