Two people were rescued Friday afternoon after they walked down a steep embankment but couldn’t make their way back up.
Russell County Search & Rescue was called out at around 2:30 Friday afternoon after a call came in that the two individuals left their homes, went down a steep embankment, and became too exhausted to return the way they came.
