The Russell Springs City Council will welcome two new members.
Lance Huckaby and Gary Frost, two challengers in the city council race, earned seats on the council by finishing in the top six of the eight-candidate race.
Incumbent councilman Cody Wilson was the top vote-getter in Russell Springs, finishing with 609 votes. Huckaby was second with 511 and incumbent Timmy Hudson was third with 493.
Frost came in fourth with 430 votes, and incumbents Ricky Barnes and Sherry Daniel rounded out the top six with 422 and 416 votes, respectively.
Challenger Roger Collins came in seventh with 397 votes and incumbent David Blakey rounded out the results with 350 votes.
In Jamestown, Teresa Gail Robertson will keep her seat on the council after she was recently appointed.
Robertson was appointed to finish the term of her late husband, Terry Robertson, a long-time council member in Jamestown.
She filed as a write-in candidate for a seat on the council, finishing with 90 votes compared to 35 for the other write-in candidate, Duchie Clay.
Barry Coffey led the voting in Jamestown with 383 votes. T0ny Wright was second with 352 and Mitchell Marcum third with 340. Dwight Richards was fourth with 337 and William Murray rounded it out with 335.
