Public can observe vote tabulation at courthouse tonight

As the polls close at 6 this evening, election workers will begin the process of receiving and tabulating votes cast across the county.

The last several years, that process has taken place inside the deed room at the courthouse, but Russell County Clerk Patti Glover said the location is changing this year. Vote tabulations will take place inside the courtroom at the courthouse and the public is invited to come to the courthouse and observe.

Glover reminds those interested in coming to the courtroom that they can only observe the process. They cannot participate, interfere, or cause disruptions.
