More than 450 voters in Russell County have already cast their ballot, according to data from the state board of elections.
According to the data, 362 mail-in ballots have been returned to the county clerk’s office and 99 people have utilized in-person absentee voting for a total of 461 votes already cast.
The report shows 587 mail-in ballots were sent out to Russell County voters, meaning 225 have not yet been turned in.
Absentee ballots can be returned to the ballot drop-box at the old courthouse or mailed in. The deadline to return absentee ballots is 6 p.m. next Tuesday, November 5.
In-person absentee voting continues today and tomorrow at the county clerk’s office from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
No-excuse voting at the old courthouse will begin Thursday.
