Russell County EMS has a new interim director.
The local ambulance board selected Charles Shepherd as the new interim director for EMS at a special-called board meeting this morning after former director Robert Baugh was terminated earlier this week by the board.
Shepherd has decades of experience as a paramedic, working in Russell and other nearby counties.
