Around 12 percent of Russell County students receive mental health services through partnerships Russell County Schools utilizes with mental health agencies.
The school district approved its trauma-informed care plan at a recent board meeting which included partnerships with these mental health agencies.
Ford noted that many school districts across the state do not offer these type of services to students, and he’s proud Russell County does.
