A couple local opportunities to donate to flood victims in North Carolina and Tennessee from Hurricane Helene remain.
The City of Jamestown and the City of Russell Springs have partnered for a community-wide effort to provide water and non-perishables to affected areas. Terry Stephens supplied a trailer located at Fairview Baptist Church.
Items requested include: bottled water, canned foods, baby formula, flashlights, and more. Clothes are not being accepted.

Other drop off locations are expected to be announced later.
The Russell County Animal Welfare League and Foster Woods Folk School are also collecting bottled water and dog and cat food for victims through the Knoxville Mutual Aid Collective. Donations can be delivered to the DAV at 155 Owenstown Road between 3-7 p.m. today.
