Two-vehicle wreck sends three to area hospitals

A two-vehicle wreck that occurred Saturday afternoon sent three individuals to area hospitals.

According to Russell Springs Police, the accident occurred just after 12:45 Saturday afternoon at the intersection of Highway 127 and Apache Avenue. Police say a 2008 Toyota Camry operated by 26-year-old Pedro Ramirez of Alabama pulled out of the Laker One stop into the path of a 2015 Nissan Frontier traveling south on Highway 127 operated by 46-year-old Christopher Pickett of Jamestown.

Ramirez and another male passenger in his car were transported to Russell County Hospital. A pregnant female passenger in Ramirez’s car was transported to Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset.

The accident is under investigation by Russell Springs Police.
