A Russell Springs man facing 20 counts of possession of child pornography charges was sentenced to 10 years in Russell Circuit Court this week.
According to court documents, 20-year-old Timothy W. Franklin was sentenced to 10 years on the charges. The sentence came via a plea agreement offered by the Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office.
Per the agreement, Franklin entered a guilty plea to 20 counts of possession of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor. Based on the agreement, Franklin was sentenced to 10 years on each charge, with the sentences to run concurrent for a total of 10 years to serve.
Court documents state the offenses were committed between May 2022 and June 2023.
Franklin remains lodged in the Russell County Detention Center.
