A Campbellsville man was arrested by the Russell County Sheriff’s Office Friday afternoon in connection with a theft that occurred near Russell Springs Elementary, causing the school to go into a lockdown.
46-year-old Charles Perry was arrested and charged with receiving stolen property, criminal trespassing, disorderly conduct first degree, and theft of an automobile.
The theft occurred Friday morning at a residence near Russell Springs Elementary. Another man who was involved in the theft was reportedly able to flee from law enforcement.
Perry was arrested by Deputy Dustin Bunch and lodged in the Russell County Detention Center just after noon on Friday.
