A Clinton County man is facing even more prison time after being found guilty of raping an 11-year-old girl.
40-year-old Christopher Thrasher of Albany was found guilty in Cumberland Circuit Court on the rape charge, which occurred between March and June 2020.
The case was moved to Cumberland County due to the notoriety of the case, and following a one-day trial last week, the jury found Thrasher guilty of the rape charge and recommended a sentence of 22 years.
This comes on top of another conviction for Thrasher, who was sentenced to 20 years in prison back in December after being found guilty on 22 counts of possessing child pornography.
Family members of the victim, who is now 15, told WJRS they were pleased with the verdict and happy to finally have closure in the case.
Final sentencing is set for November 7th, and Thrasher remains incarcerated in the state reformatory at LaGrange.
Commonwealth’s Attorney Matthew Leveridge served as the special prosecutor in both cases against Thrasher.
