Lady Laker Golf takes second at Cardinal Classic

The Russell County Lady Laker Golf team took second place at the Cardinal Classic earlier this week, which also served as the 2A state qualifier.

The tournament was shortened to 9 holes due to weather.

The Lady Lakers finished with a team score of 200 on the day.

Carleen Meyers led Russell County with a 46 and Catherine Wright shot a 48.

Karly Stapp shot a 51 and Addison Hopper shot a 55. Porter Branscum rounded out Russell County’s scoring with a 58 on the day.
