Two Russell County Schools employees were recognized at the monthly board of education meeting this week.
Jamestown Elementary School Counselor Lori Loy was recognized as being the recipient of this year’s Kentucky School Counselor of the Year.
As the result of this award, Loy will also be nominated for ASCA’s School Counselor of the Year award, and will be invited to participate in their activities and recognition in Washington DC.
Russell County Middle School teacher Jason Davidson was also recognized for being a finalist for the Western Kentucky University Distinguished Middle School Educator Award.
