Fiscal court to discuss medical cannabis operations this morning

The Russell County Fiscal Court is set to discuss medical cannabis operations at a special-called meeting this morning.

Local governments in Casey County and Pulaski County have taken steps toward banning medical cannabis operations in their respective counties and Russell County is set to discuss that possibility at a meeting this morning.

The fiscal court will meet at 8:30 this morning in the courtroom of the old Russell County Courthouse.

The court is expected to discuss a couple other items during the meeting, including bids for a used road grader and a grant opportunity.
