Jamestown woman taken to hospital following Saturday morning wreck

A Jamestown woman was transported to the hospital following a two-vehicle wreck Saturday morning.

Jamestown Police say the accident occurred just before 11 Saturday morning at the intersection of U.S. 127 and Old Clear Springs Road.

Reports are a 2012 Dodge Caravan, operated by 78-year-old Jan Weber of Columbia, was traveling westbound on Old Clear Springs Road and failed to stop at the traffic light, colliding with a 2023 KIA Rio operated by 75-year-old Mary Woodrum of Jamestown.

Woodrum was transported by Russell County EMS to Russell County Hospital for treatment of her injuries.

Jamestown Police Officer Larry Wesley is the investigating officer.
