Good Tuesday, everyone. After a few days of showers and thunderstorms, we are finally going to get a chance to dry out from all of this wet weather we’ve seen. Here’s the current visible satellite this morning…

With the exception of a few high clouds this morning, the skies are looking blue and that is sure a nice thing to finally see. Sunshine will dominate the forecast today, with temperatures in the low 80’s.

There’s a look at the current temperatures as of 9:00 am this morning. We’ve got low 70’s here in Russell County with Bowling Green as the hot spot, coming in at 76. Here’s a look at the NAM, starting from today and running all the way into Friday afternoon…

You can see there could be a few pop up showers in parts of the state, but I believe we will mainly stay dry here in the Lake Cumberland Area. Of course we are in the summer, and there could be times during the heating of the day where we could get an isolated shower or storm, but the next few days look awesome.

Wednesday

Wednesday will be beautiful and much warmer. Here’s the forecasted max temperatures for the day tomorrow…

According to this, we should get up into the mid and upper 80’s on Wednesday, and again it should be dry for all of us in the Lake Cumberland Area.

Looking Ahead

This is a look at the predicted precipitation over the next seven days. You can see here in the Bluegrass state we should remain mostly dry over the next week which is certainly good news.

Above is the temperature outlook running from this coming Sunday, through July 4th from the Climate Prediction Center, looking like we will have average temperatures with above normal temperatures to our east and south. As always check back for updates and changes in the forecast.
