Nashville woman arrested on drug charges following parkway traffic stop

A Nashville woman was arrested on drug charges after being stopped on the Cumberland Parkway on Christmas Eve.

According to the Adair County Sheriff’s Office, the traffic stop occurred east of Columbia and resulted in the arrest of 45-year-old Johnita Easley of Nashville after deputies found methamphetamine during the search.

Easley was lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail on charges of possession of methamphetamine, promoting contraband, and alcohol intoxication in a public place.
