The Russell County Middle School Swim & Dive Team finished up their season on Friday, December 9. RCMS Lakers hosted the 5th Annual Lake Cumberland Middle School Invitational. The Lakers came out victorious on the night with a big win over several strong visiting middle school teams.

The Lakers were led on the night by Jameson Webb, Ethan Hart, & Blair Brummet, who all won both events they swam. Webb was dominate in his two events; winning by 5 seconds in 100 Freestyle(1:05.55), and 10 seconds in the 50 Breast(36.31). Ethan Hart also had dominate wins in the 100 IM, and 50 Butterfly. Blair Brummett was victorious in her two events 50 Free, and 50 Breast. Haylyn Pierce set a meet record in the 50 Back Stroke with a time of 33.92.
At the end of the night, Russell County had 5 athletes win awards for the meet.

The Russell County Middle School program is looking strong moving into next season, as they will only be losing 3 swimmers moving on to only varsity swimming next year. The future or Laker Swimming & Diving is bright.
