A Columbia man was injured in a collision Saturday morning on Highway 379
According to the Russell County Sheriff’s Office, Gary Duncan, age 57, was operating an XB Scion traveling west on KY 379 when he reportedly went off the roadway and struck a utility pole.
Duncan told law enforcement that he blacked out while driving.
Area fire departments were called to the scene as well.
Duncan was transported to Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital for treatment of injuries and was later transported to UK Hospital.
