The Russell County Middle School Softball team picked up a 10-0 win thanks to a brilliant pitching performance from Chezney Burton on Friday.
Burton pitched four innings, not allowing a hit and striking out 10 of the 15 batters she faced.
It was a strong performance at the plate for the Lady Lakers as well, as the Lady Lakers racked up 7 runs in the second inning to come away with a 10-0 win and improve to 4-0 on the season.
Rylen McGowan and Emma Wilson led the way at the plate, each finishing 2-3 and driving in two runs each.
The Lady Lakers are back in action on Friday, March 25 as they host Green County, beginning at 5 p.m.
