Glen Allen Oaks, 86, of Russell Springs, KY, passed away Sunday, October 31st, at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, Somerset, KYGlen was born in Jamestown, KY on July 19, 1935, a son of the late Lillie (Hayes) and Claude  Oaks.He was a member of Mt Pleasant United Methodist Church, served in the U.S. Marines, was a carpenter for many years.Glen is  survived bywife Ida (Scholl) Oaks, of Russell Springs, KYtwo daughters, Andra (Bobby) Brown, of Russell Springs, KY; Dana Oaks, of Russell Springs, KY;two sons Pat (Jodi) Oaks, of Russell Springs, KY; Phil (Rose) Oaks, of Russell Springs, KY;a sister, Ruth Stephens, of Russell Springs, KY.He is also survived by 5 grandchildren: Sarah(Trent) Stapp, Brad(Lyndsey) Brown, Brian(Carey) Brown, Seth(Heidi) Oaks and Whitney Oaks. 11 great grandchildren: Cassidy&Carter Stapp, Brodey, Adelynn,& Calley Brown, Caleb&Asher Brown, Jake,Molly,& Briar Oaks, Titus PopplewellHe is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, Walter (Trigger) and Maude Oaks, two brothers Jack Oaks and Jerry Mack Oaks, sister Darlene Ash.Religious Service at H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel, Jamestown, KY, at 11:00 AM on Thursday, November 4th,  with Bro. Tony Stephens officiating.Friends may visit  Wednesday 5:00 PM.   at H. E. Pruitt Memory Chapel.Interment at Jamestown Cemetery with full Military Honors by the Russell County Honor Squad.Pallbearers: Brian Brown, Brad Brown, Seth Oaks, Keith Scholl, Jeff Scholl, and Greg Scholl.
