The Russell County Middle School 6th Grade and 8th Grade Girls Basketball teams defeated Clinton County in their season openers on Tuesday.
The 6th grade team won 21-19 off a buzzer beater three by Addison Coffey. Kaelyn Campbell led the team with 12 points.
The 8th grade team won 47-18, with Natalie Bartrug leading the way with 13 points.
