Glendo Popplewell, of Russell Springs, passed away on Thursday, July 29, 2021, at Fair Oaks Health and Rehabilitation, in Jamestown. He was 90 years of age.
Born on April 21,1931, in Jamestown, he was a son of the late Larkin and Cora F. George Popplewell. Glendo worked as a farm hand most of his life and was known for farming with his mules.
Survivors include his sister, Marie Badgley, of Russell Springs; and host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Glendo was preceded in death by his brothers, Herbert, Londo, Curtis and Donald Popplewell; and his sisters, Zilma Morton and Faye Stephens.
Funeral services are 12:00 noon, Saturday, July 31, 2021, at Bernard Funeral Home, with Bro. Billy Dunbar officiating. Burial will follow in the Concord Cemetery.
Visitation will be held after 11:00 a.m., Saturday, at Bernard Funeral Home, until time for funeral services.
