Laker Baseball teams defeat North Laurel in final home game of season

In the last home game of the season, the Russell County Lakers came away victorious by a score of 6-1 over the North Laurel Jaguars.

Senior Nick Aaron picked up the win on the mound, pitching seven innings and giving up one run on four hits and striking out 8.

Bryce Cowell drove in two runs for the Lakers. CJ Vonfumetti, Aiden Antle, Gavin Gossage, and Maxon Gosser drove in one run each.

With the win, the Lakers are now 26-6. The Lakers will wrap up the regular season on the road at Bardstown on Thursday.

JV Lakers win 10-1 over North Laurel in season finale

Trace Stringer went the distance, pitching four innings and giving up two hits and one run as the JV Lakers defeated North Laurel 10-1.

Stringer also recorded five strikeouts on the mound. At the plate, Stringer finished 2-3 with 3 RBI on the night.

Logan Lawless, Bryce Cowell, Landon Walters, and Jacob Kemp each drove in a run for the Lakers.

The JV team finishes their season at 23-3.
