The Russell County Lady Laker Softball team split a doubleheader with the Campbellsville Lady Eagles Wednesday night.
In the first game, the Lady Lakers fell by a score of 6-3. The Lady Lakers outhit the Lady Eagles 10-8, but the Lady Lakers had six errors in the game.
Katie Owens drove in two runs off a two-run homerun in the first inning, and Camryn Woodrum drove in another.
Owens, Addy Davis, Sophie Shearer, and Tarryn Reynolds finished with two hits each.
Reynolds got the start for the Lady Lakers, pitching 4 1/3 innings, giving up five runs on six hits and striking out five.
In the second game of the night, the Lady Lakers came away with a 7-3 win over the Lady Eagles.
Kiera Kemp picked up the win on the mound, pitching six innings and giving up three runs on seven hits and striking out one.
Reynolds picked up the save, pitching one inning in relief, giving up no runs and no hits.
The Lady Lakers finished with 13 hits in the game, led by Emma Popplewell with 3. Davis, Owens, and Payton Kinnett finished with two hits each.
Owens and Natalie Hart drove in two runs each, and Woodrum drove in one.
Owens hit a solo homerun in the fourth inning for her second homerun of the night and her seventh of the season.
The Lady Lakers are now 14-9 on the season. The team is back in action tonight as they travel to Marion County. The two teams met in the opening game of the season for the Lady Lakers back on March 30. The Lady Lakers won that game 12-11.
