School board gives Superintendent Ford exemplary marks across the board

The Russell County Board of Education met yesterday with one of the main topics being Superintendent Michael Ford’s annual evaluation.

The board went into executive session for about 15 minutes and after returning to open session, announced that Ford received exemplary marks across each of the seven evaluation categories. Exemplary is the highest rating a board can give a superintendent in their annual evaluation.

Ford told WJRS News after the meeting he was thankful for the strong vote of confidence from the board, but said the school district’s success was a community effort.

The board unanimously approved a motion to accept the evaluation after the results were announced.
