Russell County 9U Baseball team preparing for state tournament in Louisville

The Russell County 9U baseball team achieved a major accomplishment this past weekend, playing up an age division and capturing the Cal Ripken West Kentucky 10U championship.

Adam Ellis is the coach of the 9U team. He was a guest on Community Conversation on WJRS yesterday and said entering the 10U tournament was a risk, but he believed it could provide valuable experience for the team.

The team will play in the state tournament in Louisville next weekend.
