Roger Paul Carnes, 82, of Jamestown, passed away Sunday, July 12th, at Select Specialty Hospital, Danville, KY. Roger was born in Jamestown, KY on November 13, 1943, a son of the late Martha (Rogers) and Hobert Carnes. He was a construction company owner, operator, farmer and lived daily by his own motto:” When you have the best don’t go looking for more”
Roger is survived by:
His wife: Wilma (Conner) Carnes, of Jamestown, KY
One daughter: Tammy Carnes Pyles (Doug), of Columbia, KY;
One son: John Paul Carnes, of Jamestown, KY;
Two brothers: Baker Carnes (Georgia), and Willard Carnes (Kay), both of Jamestown, KY.
Three grandsons: Jacob Pyles, Luke Pyles (Amber) and Zachary Pyles
Two great-grandsons: Carson and Henry Pyles
He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother Franklin Carnes.
Cremation rites were honored according to Roger’s wishes. H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapels in Jamestown in charge of arrangements.
