A routine traffic stop in Casey County Monday night led to the arrest of a Greensburg man who was also wanted on a felony warrant from Green County.
According to Kentucky State Police, Trooper Sharp stopped a motorcycle on U.S. 127 in Liberty at approximately 9:30 p.m. Monday and arrested 41-year-old Adam Edwards of Greensburg.
Edwards was charged with operating on a suspended license, having no motorcycle operator’s license, no insurance, and several other traffic-related violations.
Edwards was also served with a Green District Court criminal complaint warrant stemming from an incident investigated by the Green County Sheriff’s Department in May of last year.
According to the warrant, Edwards is accused of firing a shotgun multiple times at another individual, striking the victim once and also hitting the victim’s vehicle.
The warrant charges Edwards with second-degree assault, first-degree wanton endangerment, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and first-degree criminal mischief.
Following his arrest, Edwards was lodged in the Casey County Detention Center.
