Russell County 9U team plays up a division, wins 10U Cal Ripken district championship

It was a big weekend for the Russell County 9U Baseball team.

The team played up an age division, and captured the West Kentucky District 6 10U championship.

The team finished the tournament with a 4-0 record, scoring 45 runs while only giving up 21 runs.

This is believed to be the first time in West Kentucky Cal Ripken that a team has played up an age division and won a district title.
